My name is Laura Alderson and I am a Brighton based reading and writing specialist, with Reading Recovery training and many years of experience.

I am currently available for one-to-one tuition and support for your primary aged child.

My Service and Background

I use a wide range of carefully levelled texts to suit all ages and interests. Book making, letter sorting, whiteboard writing and language games make it fun and accessible. I use the research- and evidence-based Reading Recovery approach which employs a varied, child-led approach to teaching – not pure phonics.

I use a dedicated workspace in my own home in the Elm Grove area. Parents are welcome to stay and wait in a separate room.

I am DBS checked.
